Start a Relationship with Jesus..

God loves us so much and wants a relationship with us so much so that He allowed His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place John 3:16.   Even though God the Father allowed His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world Jesus had to be willing.

It all started before the foundation of the world.  John 1:1-10.  Jesus was called the “Word”.  He was with God in the beginning and all things were made by Him and without Him nothing was made.  What a statement about Jesus Christ!  He was willing to become human so that we could enter heaven.  Jesus Christ left His throne in heaven to come to earth as a human baby.  He grew up just like we do and suffered all the pain and heartache that we all suffer.  He knew what it was like to be tempted by evil.  He was hurt, hungry and lonely but He did not sin.  1 Peter 2:22.

Christ suffered beyond anything we can imagine when He was crucified for our sins.  He willing went to the cross for every human that was ever born and will ever be born.  The movie “The Passion” is probably as close as we can portray the greatest event that has ever occurred on this earth.  He secured our relationship with Him.  When Christ gave up His life He, once and for all time,  covered our sin with His blood.  When He arose from the dead he secured our eternity and His deity was proven beyond doubt. 

The only decision that will determine our entry into Heaven or hell is the decision to accept Him as Lord and Savior, or reject Him.  He died for all our sin, past, present and future. It does not matter what you have done or not done.  You can’t be good enough to enter Heaven, or be so bad that you cannot gain entrance to Heaven.  It is all about your decision to accept or reject  Jesus Christ.   Don’t let anyone tell you that you can work your way to heaven because you cannot do enough good works.  It is about your decision to accept or reject Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is God in the flesh.  He actually allowed the people that He created to beat Him beyond recognization, lie about Him, and then nail Him to a cross.

It’s something you may have to work to wrap my mind around. How could He let something so awful happen when He could stop it with just a word from His mouth?  Jesus Christ loved you and me so much He was willing to suffer any amount of pain and humiliation so that we could gain entrance to Heaven. 

2 Corinthians 5:21
“He who knew no sin became sin for us”. 

There is only one way to Heaven and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  He love us more that He loved His own comfort and life.  Do not let anyone tell you that you have been so bad that you cannot be saved. Put that out of your mind. Jesus died for all sin.  I don’t care if you consider yourself to be the vilest sinner on the earth.  You are the one He died for, just as He died for me.  Don’t put off the decision to accept Him as Savior.  We are living in the very last days and it will soon be too late to make that decision.  Don’t worry about the people that try to judge you.  They will answer to Christ for their evil ways.  Jesus is not happy with their self-righteous judgments of others.  A real Christian will love you and not worry about your past.  Give your heart and life to Jesus Christ and He will lead you to the right people.  Just talk to Him.  Don’t worry about saying a lot of words or making it sound just right.  He knows your heart so just say what is on your heart. 

Romans 10:9
9 if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Maybe you  are angry with God because you have lost someone or something you love and you feel like He could have stopped this tragedy, talk to Him about your pain.  He already knows how you feel and He loves you anyway.  Give Him a chance to heal the pain.  He did not cause your pain.  Satan caused your pain.  When sin entered the world it brought death with it.  The wages of sin is death Romans 6:23. God loves you.  He knows when a sparrow falls to the ground Matt 10:29.  He has the hairs on your head numbered Luke 12:7.  You are the apple of His eye Deut. 32:10.  When you hurt, He hurts.  Get to know Him.  Read His written word and He will speak to you through His Word.  The more you know Him the less heartache you will feel.

Is life fair?  No it is not fair.  But, one day very soon we will stand before God, either at the Judgment Seat of Christ or the Great White Throne of Judgment.   Then and only then will all the wrongs be punished and all the good rewarded.  If you are a Christian you do not have to worry about punishment, Jesus Christ took it all at the Cross.  If you choose to ignore so great a love and sacrifice you will choose to spend eternity in hell and you will suffer greater punishment than you can imagine.  But, for the Christian “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered the heart of man the things God has for those that love Him” 1 Cor 2:9.  Why wait?  Tomorrow may be too late.  We aren’t promised tomorrow only the time we are living in.  Your life may be fine right now but in 15 minutes your life may be turned upside down and you feel that you are caught in a nightmare that you can’t wake up from, but you know it is real.

Only God can give you comfort and a sense of reality when gut wrenching, life altering tragedy happens.  Not only does God give us Salvation, He walks with us all the way.  Heartache comes to everyone at one time or another.  It is God that makes the difference in how we deal with it.  I am not saying that pain won’t hurt, it will hurt, but I know the God of the Universe and He knows me.  Because of Him I can truly face tomorrow, no matter what tomorrow brings.  Don’t you want to know Him?  Let Him help you.  He loves you so much.  It doesn’t matter if you have stolen, committed murder, done drugs, been mean to your family, or been into the occult.  He loves you and will save you from all that.  He is just waiting for you to ask.  You may say, but you don’t know what I have done.  God knows and He still loves you.  He died for those sins.  His blood covers those sins and if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior He will never bring those sins up again.  They will be covered for all eternity.  Only satan will bring up the past and you have God’s promise that you will not be punished by God for those sins.    You will be washed clean so don’t let anyone drag you down by talking about the past.  As soon as you accept Christ as your Savior you become a new creature and you past does not exist in God’s eyes.  Today is the day of Salvation, don’t wait.  Tomorrow may never come.

God will not send you to hell, you choose to go to hell by not accepting the greatest give of love that was ever given  to mankind.  Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven.  Please accept Him as Lord and Savior of your life before it is too late.  Ask God to forgive you and ask Him to come into your life. He will not reject you if you are sincere when you ask.  You will be so glad you did because you will now have access to God.  Develop a relationship with Him by praying and reading His Word.  When you pray you are talking to God and when you read the Bible He is talking to you.  Remember the most important decision you will ever make it the decision to accept or reject Jesus Christ.  It is up to you.
